Pregnancy Exercise- Benefits of Swimming

In your third trimester it’s common to feel “big”, “awkard”, and “uncomfortable”.  One of the best exercises I highly recommend during this time is swimming.  Swimming will make you feel light and will ease muscle pain and other discomforts caused by the pregnancy weight gain.  Try these simple pregnancy exercises: * To tone your shoulders and chest: In the shallow end of a pool walk from one end to the other while bringing your arms in front of your chest and pulling the water away from you.    * Calorie Burner and to tone your thighs: Hold the side of the pool and kick (count up to a minute and take a break for 10 seconds- do 5 minutes of kicking total), or use a kickboard and kick across the pool and work up to 20 laps.   *Thigh blaster: In a standing straddle position in shallow water bring your heals together (i.e., like a modified jumping jack).  Repeat the exercise 10-20 reps..
