Many pregnant women are concerned they’re going to put on a bunch of weight and never lose it. This is especially true if they are overweight prior to pregnancy. They obsess over every pound they gain, and worry at the same time about the health of their baby. My advice is this, do NOT diet while you are pregnant! You need to nourish your body and your baby so he or she is healthy. DO however chose foods that will nourish your baby. Great food choices are whole grain breads and pastas, low fat cheeses, yogurt, and plenty of veggies and fruit. Also, enjoy a glass of orange juice. Folate found in oranges is excellent for baby’s development. As long as you’re eating healthy, exercise and listening to your body’s needs you will gain just the right amount to grow your baby. When you listen to your body, exercise, and eat healthy you won’t put on extra weight, and it won’t be hard to lose the baby weight.
