Postpartum Weight Loss: Satisfying Your “Salty” Cravings

Why does it seem that when you are trying to loss the last of those postpartum pounds that all you crave are some chips?  Your body may be indeed craving “salt” because it is lacking in electrolytes.  First make sure that your body is hydrated by drinking a full glass of water.  If you still crave those chips, first choose something that will nourish your body, such as a handful of nuts.  Nuts have protien and “good fat” so that you will be more easily satisfied, whereas chips are simple carbohydrates that won’t fill your body and will leave you craving even more chips!
