Postpartum Weight Loss: More Water Less Coffee

Here is a helpful postpartum weight loss tip:  drink more water and cut back on your caffine intake, and you are gaurenteed to lose a few pounds!  Most of us put sugar and cream in our coffee and that adds to our calorie consumption.  Even if you drink it black, it is a diruretic and will thus contributes to dehydrating the body.  When the body is dehydrated we crave food (i.e. mistaking hunger for thirst), and thus eat more than we should.  Also, the food that most people crave are either salty or sweet, which are known as “empty calories”.  Empty calories have no nutritional value, so it will not nourish your body.  If you up your water intake then you will keep your body hydrated and you will eat when you are truly hungry (not when you are thirsty).
