Postpartum Weight Loss: Exercises to Lift Droopy Breasts?

To Sara of Fit by Sara: “After nursing my two kids my breasts have lost all fullness and are droopy. Is there any exercises that will help lift them?”

From Fit by Sara: “Unfortunately exercise will not bring back fullness to the breast and can not lift the breast tissue. However exercises that strengthen the chest and shoulders will tone the chest muscles so it will be firm above your breasts, and shapely shoulders are very attractive. Try this simple move to tone your chest and shoulders:
Wall Push-Ups
1. Stand about 3 feet away from a wall
2. Place your hands on the wall. Make sure your arms are even with your shoulders
3. Bend your elbows and bring your chest towards the wall. (You may need to turn your head to the side)
4. Repeat for 15 reps
5. As you get stronger incorporate pulsing. Working up to 15 slow, 10-15 pulse, 10-15 slow.” -Sara Holliday MFT, CPT
