Postpartum Weight Loss- Alignment Adjustments In Yoga Make You Work Harder

Today when I taught yoga I spent the majority of the hour doing adjustments on my students.  We went back to the basics and reviewed plank, chattarunga, downward dog, pyramid, triangle, etc..  I could feel my students focused on their positioning with their intention on doing the postures correctly.  When we moved to the next posture I could hear sighs of relief and giggles.  All of my students agreed that they worked harder knowing I was watching and felt good knowing they were doing the postures correctly.  I recommend that you speak with your instructor prior to class to let them know that you would like to be adjusted.  I can bet you’ll find the class even more challenging than usual, but you’ll reap great rewards in being corrected.
