Postpartum Exercise- Allow Your Body Time to Re-coup

After having a baby so many moms feel motivated to lose weight.  The problem is when they go full speed ahead working out every single day even if they’re really sore.  Remember this simple tip: Your body will get the greatest results when you allow it to re-coup.  What I mean is your muscles need a day or two to “heal”, especially if you are back to exercising or new to exercising.  So although I recommend working up to 4-5 days of execise, if you are lifting, you should alternate between the types of exercises you are doing.  For example if you do an upper body workout on Monday, you should do a lower body workout on Tuesday.   When you allow your body the chance to re-coup you will the benefits will be threefold: #1. you won’t burn out #2. your body will feel better #3. you will notice more muscle definition.
