Pregnancy Yoga- Posture to Open Up the Ribs and Help You Breathe

A common complaint towards the end of pregnancy is pressure on the ribs and diaphram making it challenging to breathe.  Try this simple pregnancy yoga posture to open up your ribs.  In a comfortable seated position (note: you can do this posture sitting on a chair as well as the floor), extend one arm up and over your head and gently lean to the side of the extended arm.  Taking 5 complete breaths (i.e. inhale completely and exhale completely through your nose).  Repeat on the other side.  After doing this pose you and your body will say “ahhhhhh…..”.
