Pregnancy Exercise: Third Trimester

In your third you may feel uncomfortable as your baby continues to grow and put more pressure on your low back and pelvis.  Even if you exercised regularly as you approach the final month even walking may be tiresome.  In my experience, I’ve found the best exercises for the end of your pregnancy are prenatal yoga and swimming.  A good prenatal yoga class or DVD will focus on postures that will open up your pelvis, breathing techniques that will prepare you for labor, and provide a deeper connection to your baby.  Swimming will make you feel light i.e. “bouyant” and will keep you cool, especially if you are pregnant during the summer months.
