Muscle Toning Exercise- “Kangaroo Pouch”

Oh no, here comes those questions again, “Sara, how do I tone up the Kangaroo Pouch, (i.e.,belly, tire tube, etc.)?”  and “Will it ever go back after baby?”  The answer is always two fold.  First and foremost if your diet is poor, it will show as body fat.  So, make sure you are eating well by limiting sugar intake and increasing veggies (I’m reminding myself by writing this…I sometime lack in this area too!), and drink lots of water.  Second, increase your exercise and/or increase the intensity of how hard you exercise.  The good news is you don’t need to do hundreds of situps to get firm abs.  If you’re doing exercises such as yoga, pilates, or kickboxing you’re getting plenty of ab work and the muscle is strong and toned underneath the body fat.  So as you lose body fat you will begin to feel your belly firm.
