Postpartum Weight Loss- SLEEP!

If you’re looking to lose weight, make sure you’re getting enough sleep.  I personally know that this can be challenging when you have little ones…but it’s very important.  Studies have shown a link for lack of sleep to weight gain, because people who do not get enough sleep tend to eat more.  The Journal of the American Medical Association states, “Reduced sleep raises the levels of a hormone that stimulates hunger.  At the same time, less sleep lowers the levels of hormone that curbs hunger.  The result: a sleepier, hungrier individual.”
