Postpartum Weight Loss- Ditch Your Scale!

If you are wanting to lose postpartum pounds don’t get discouraged by the numbers on the scale.  Often times women increase their workouts and notice their clothes are fitting better, but when they hop on the scale they walk away depressed and discouraged because thier weight hasn’t dropped but a few pounds.  Remember this…when you exercise you are building muscle which weighs more than fat.  However, muscle burns more calories at rest, and thus you will lose body fat which translates to loss of inches.  So a great way to measure your progress is to measure yourself at your waist, hips, thigh, and upper arms…or by how lose your pants are fitting!  If you measure vs. weigh, you will be pleasantly pleased with how your hard work is paying off.
