Prenatal Yoga: Reduce Tension in Your Low Back

Prenatal yoga is wonderful for reducing tension in your body.  A common problem for pregnant women is low back pain.  Try this simple posture which I call “modified cat and cow”.  What you do is while you are taking a warm shower, place your hands on your upper thighs and bend your knees slightly.  Inhale sway your back pushing your butt back and tilt your head up (like a cow’s swayed back).  Exhale tuck under your abdominals and tuck your chin under (like how a cat arches it’s back).  While doing this stretch, the warm water should pound gently on your back.  Ahhh…feel the tension flow out of your spine!
