Postpartum Weight Loss- Low Carb Diets

From Sara of Fit by Sara: “Well my first thought is that the word “diet” means deprive, and linked w/ carb says to me, deprive oneself of carbs!  So on that note, I believe that modification is the key.  Carbs, or carbohydrates are veggies, grains (whole or processed), fruit, and sugars.  I believe that it’s better to consider what kind of carb your eating, verses limiting carbs.  Carbs that are good for your body are veggies, fruits, and whole grains (whole wheat).  Vice versa, carbs that don’t contribute to the body are sugary foods, and processed grains (like white flour).  So carbs that contribute to our bodies are good to eat and can be eaten in abundance, however carbs that don’t contribute to our body (also known as “empty calories”) are better to limit.” -Sara Holliday
