Postpartum Weight Loss- How to Get More Energy

To Sara of Fit by Sara: “I wake up feeling low in energy.  I have a coffee or energy drink every day.  Do you have any tips to help boost my energy?”

From Fit by Sara: “Your body is telling you something if you’re waking up tired everyday.  Make sure you are getting enough uninterrupted sleep (recommended 8 hours).  To help get a good amount of sleep, turn off violent TV programs several hours prior to bed time and avoid caffinated beverages.  Also be sure to eat your last meal at least 3 hrs. prior to going to bed so your digestive system doesn’t work overtime while you rest.  If you feel you are getting enough sleep but are still tired, be sure to talk to your doctor and request a blood panel.  Something may be off with your hormone or sugar levels.  If you’re getting enough sleep and you’ve spoken with your doctor, it’s time to get moving.  Exercising as little as 30 min. a day will boost your energy and mood.” -Sara Holliday MFT, CPT
