Postpartum Weight Loss- Healthy Snacks

To Sara of Fit by Sara: “I want to keep my energy up while I’m at work and avoid eating junk. Do you have any healthy snack suggestions besides carrot sticks? I’m getting tired of those.”

From Fit by Sara: “Healthy snacks are a great idea because like you said they keep your energy up AND will prevent you from getting too hungry which contributes to overeating at meal time. My favorite energy boosting snacks are apples with lowfat mozerella cheese or peanut butter, bananas with peanut butter, walnuts with raisins, almonds with dark chocolate chips, Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal, and Odwella bars.  All of these snacks are easy to pack and will keep you satisfied for a couple of hours. Another benefit of healthy snacking is you’ll keep your metabolism going so you’ll burn more calories and your portion sizes will be smaller so you’ll lose weight.” -Sara Holliday MFT, CPT
