1.       How old are you?  41

2.       How many years have you been practicing yoga? Three years, I think. I can’t remember since it feels as if I’ve done it forever.

3.       Before you starting practicing yoga what did you think it would be like? I imagined doing strange meditation and twisting myself into painful positions.

4.       What prompted you to try a yoga class with Sara? Sara helped me in every other aspect of my life (mind, body and spirit), so I figured I could try anything once.

5.       What made you decide to come back to more classes with Sara? I loved the challenge of always trying to improve my positions and flow.  Also, it was the first time in years that I was able to quite my mind and focus inwardly on myself.

6.       What advice do you have for others seeking a yoga instructor?  Find an instructor who can guide you on your personal journey without judgment.  Any instructor who doesn’t tell you to close your eyes and not compare yourself to others in the class is missing the point.

7.       How has yoga improved your flexibility and or strength? When you start yoga by not even coming close to touching your toes, you can only go up!  Now I can beat all the guys at my work holding plank position.

8.       What’s your favorite yoga pose? Tree pose because some days I’m like a solid oak tree and other days I’m like a branch in the wind.

9.       What do you like about yoga? Everything- it’s the opportunity to breathe deeply and connect with my thoughts while challenging my body

10.   How have you changed physically, mentally and spiritually since practicing yoga? Physically, it lengthens my muscles and gives me flexibility which I never had.  Mentally, it quiets my mind and reenergizes me so I can give my best self to my family after a tough work day.  Spiritually, it commits me to positive thinking and to be grateful for my health, life and family.

11.   What do you say when people ask you about how you got your results?  Yoga. yoga and yoga.

12.   How have you benefited from yoga?  My husband and I have reconnected together through our passion for yoga which has rekindled our love for each other and has inspired our daughters.
